These are softgels rather than a bottle of oil — 120 to a bottle, built on a fish-oil base rather than the plant and algae oils used in the vegan alternative. The base blends fish oil with echium seed oil, pomegranate seed oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, olive oil and corn oil, alongside nine essential oils — Clove, Frankincense, Thyme, Cumin, Wild Orange, Peppermint, Ginger, Caraway and German Chamomile.
It also contains astaxanthin, lutein, zeaxanthin, beta-carotene and natural vitamin D, with rosemary leaf extract and tocopherol-rich extract as antioxidants, and a natural lemon flavouring. The softgel shell itself is built from modified corn starch, glycerin, maltitol syrup and carrageenan rather than gelatin — a separate vegan version, vEO Mega, swaps the fish oil for plant and algae oils instead.
