Forgive blends eight oils into one 5ml bottle — Spruce, Bergamot, Juniper Berry, Myrrh, Arborvitae, Nootka, Thyme and Citronella. Nootka is the least familiar name on the label: a cypress tree also known as Alaska cedar, named after Nootka Sound on Vancouver Island, where European botanists first recorded it.
The aroma is herbaceous, fresh and woody — Juniper Berry and Citronella give it a green, slightly grassy top note, Bergamot adds a citrus lift, and Spruce, Arborvitae and Nootka settle in underneath as a resinous, forest-like base. It reads closer to a walk through conifers than a bottle of perfume.
It's a dropper bottle, so it suits a diffuser or a hand-blended mix — a couple of drops on their own, or paired with Arborvitae for more of the woody base. Because Bergamot is a cold-pressed peel oil, keep treated skin out of direct sun or UV for twelve hours afterwards, the same rule that applies to any citrus-containing blend.
