Blue Tansy is steam distilled from the flowering tops of an annual plant grown in northern Morocco. The fresh distillate isn't blue to start with — the colour develops as a compound called chamazulene forms during distillation, so the deep indigo you see in the bottle is entirely natural rather than an added dye.
